Cosby's quest for solutions

"In the neighborhoods that most of us grew up in, parenting is not going on. ... These people are fighting hard to be ignorant."

"Five and six different children ... pretty soon you're going to have to have DNA cards so you can tell who you're making love to."

Ask Amy Readers differ over African-American

Dear Amy: I remember a press conference in the 1980s when Jesse Jackson and other black leaders announced that "African-American" would replace the terms "Negro," "black" and "Afro-American." It was a brilliant move intended to de-emphasize identity by skin color and to help black Americans identify with the diversity of African heritage.

Do more to keep young black males out of jail

If the trends continue, one of every three African-American males born today will spend time in prison,'' Marc Mauer, executive director of The Sentencing Project, which analyzed the report, said in a press release. "Communities across the country are losing their fathers and sons because of overly harsh sentencing laws that incarcerate more people for non-violent offenses.''

Alleged Scammers Had the System Down Cold

"They were bullying the insurance companies into making sure they paid off, threatening a lot of lawsuits," said Marty Gonzalez, chief investigator for the fraud division of the California Department of Insurance. "In one instance, they filed a complaint with the Department of Insurance, saying their claims were not being handled properly. They knew how to deal with these companies. They were very comfortable trying to collect on the money they felt they had coming to them."

If You're Black Get Back

Sixty years ago, Big Bill Broonzy sang about America's Jim Crow system,

If you is white, you's alright,
if you's brown, stick around,
but if you's black, hmm, hmm, brother,
get back, get back, get back.

Recent events indicate that Jim Crow didn't die, it mutated. As a result many black citizens still find themselves sitting at the back of the opportunity bus.

Some decry shortage of black professors at UTA

We are very focused on increasing representation from black faculty as well as other underrepresented minorities, Dunn said. It certainly sends a
message when they are not visible and present. We want to have visible role mentors.

Fulfilling America's promise for blacks

Why a "Covenant With Black America?" asks talk show host and activist Tavis Smiley in the introduction to the book by the same name. His answer: Because, "Without organization black folk will never be able to take, keep or hold onto anything, much less the hard-fought gains that we have struggled to achieve."

Obesity rises faster in poorer teens

"The campaign against obesity and the struggle against poverty are, in fact, one and the same," he said.

"...Healthier diets cost more," he said, and access to physical activity "depends on how much money you've got."

Reexamining NEWSWEEKs 1986 Story on Marriage

Ive watched a lot of people [who married while young] get divorced, she says. I think that if you do wait until Mr. Right comes along, you have a much better chance of survival.

Rising black-Latino clash on jobs

"The real culprits are the employers who work people 12 to 14 hours a day at $8 an hour or less without having to pay payroll taxes or provide any other form of benefits," says Ernesto Nieto, president of the National Hispanic Institute. "To direct blame to people in need because of American greed is to beg the question of who's really at fault here and who's really playing by the rules."

Scientists Confirm Origins of HIV

"How many different transmission events occurred between that initial hunter and this virus making it to Kinshasa, I don't know. It could have been one, it could have been 10, it could have been 100," Hahn said. "Eventually, it ended up in an urban area, and that's where it really got going."

Coalition fears blacks hurt by immigration bill

"I will never compare it [current immigrants' status] to the civil rights movement," said Mr. Kendrick, who served in the Korean War and remembers well the 1960s civil rights protests. "The slavery we encountered was the worst in the world. It can never be compared to someone just walking across a border."

NYC mayor advocates U.S. worker database

In the article and on air, Bloomberg slammed lawmakers who want to deport all illegal immigrants, saying on Fox News that "they are living in a fantasy
world."

Ice Cube joins voices against Oprah

Cube adds: "She's had damn rapists, child molesters and lying authors on her show. And if I'm not a rags-to-riches story for her, who is?"

Everest climbers death sparks a debate

"We've been seeing things like this for a very long time," said Thomas Sjogren, a Swedish mountaineer who helps run ExplorersWeb, a Web site widely read by climbers. "The real high-altitude mountaineers, the top people in the world who are doing new peaks and going to mountains you don't know much about, most of these people have become completely disgustedm by Everest."

Fox praises Mexican immigrants

Earl Ofari Hutchinson of the Los Angeles Urban Policy Roundtable, who joined Ali at a news conference outside City Hall, said that Fox had failed to improve economic conditions in Mexico and had insulted African Americans by implying that they are not willing to do the jobs illegal immigrants do.

"What about the citizens of Mexico in your own country that you have not taken care of?" Hutchinson asked. "Where are the jobs?"

Rags to riches tale writes itself

"There were no keys, so every day you take everything with you," said Gardner. "For a year, I'd take my son, his stroller, a big duffel bag with all his clothes in it, my briefcase, an umbrella, the biggest bag of Pampers in the world, one suit on my back and one suit in a hanging bag and we'd hit it every day."

Black educators divided on Villaraigosa schools plan

The mayors plan has some faults and some good points, however it will be an enormous task for him to undertake along with trying to run the city, she said. Black students are now getting the short end of the cookie, so to speak. Most of the efforts are being put into a district that is primarily Hispanic with the lowest API scores that I have seen, ever.

Turnaround on South Bay campus

Karla Morales, president-elect of the PTA and a former elementary-school teacher, recalls a child being expelled after police were called to the school. The worst issue was the discipline, said Morales, who has one son about to enter kindergarten and another son about to start sixth grade.

Kids were openly telling teachers that you cannot touch me or they will go to the authorities. The first rule the new principal made was that there had to be respect.

Poverty fuels HIV among black heterosexuals

Between 1999 and 2002, three-quarters of heterosexually transmitted HIV cases in 29 U.S. states were diagnosed among African Americans. But the reasons for the racial disparity have been "elusive," according to the authors of the new study, led by Dr. Adaora A. Adimora of the University of North
Carolina at Chapel Hill.

Celebrating being black and Jewish

"We were taught to worship our God, practice our faith, and we live among ourselves," Bowen said. "We have our own kosher butcher, catering services, and at one time we had our own prayer book." The congregation has a school and a mikvah, has bar and bat mitzvahs, and several weeks
ago, a bris was held at Bowen's home in Bucks County.

The Unity Card

"The UNITY Card is changing the way African Americans do business in America. One card to shop at black-owned businesses on a worldwide level will help maintain wealth in the black community and grow our existing businesses to the next level. Every consumer and business owner should sign up for the UNITY Card," said Phil Andrews, president of P.A. Public Relations Company.

Blacks Divided Over Bonds

"When it comes to baseball ... there's a deification of Ruth, and they want to protect that image at all cost," Moore said in a phone interview. "White America has so much racial baggage that sometimes they don't even understand when they're being racially biased."

California town the latest to snub Wal-Mart

"The people in Hercules are coming across as looking down their noses on those who shop at Wal-Mart, as not wanting 'those people in our
neighborhood,"' Pilon said.

Blacks skip dial-up, embrace broadband

But because African-Americans are potentially coming online later, they are skipping over the dial-up phase and going directly to broadband connections. I think thats a lot of the reason that you see this exponential growth.

Bishop and his wife get HIV test to set an example

I said if my bishop can do it, I can do it, said Colbert, 44, as she waited in line. Its something thats growing in black American women, and Ive had a colorful past.

African American Marketing: Redefining The Black Professional

Many advertisers have misconceptions of what a Black professional is, Lee says. Most believe that if a black person isnt in jail, then hes a professional. Others believe that if a black person doesnt look like a rapper, then he must be a professional.

Hidden Bias

"The fact is that companies have been relatively successful in getting women and minorities in the door, but they are not as successful as they would liken in getting them up the ladder," says Carolyn Buck Luce, co-author of the study and chair of the center's Hidden Brain Drain task force.

IMMIGRATION

To all those that think illegal immigrants are stealing jobs from Black Americans I have one question. Why is it that Blacks have lived the American way of life for 400 years and the best we can do is compete for jobs that people who cannot speak the language can do for less? Shouldn't we be able to compete at a higher level for jobs that don't involve digging ditches, picking grapes, or tarring a roof?

The changing face of historically black colleges

The focus has been on what African-Americans have done at this university since 1867, Robinson said. Now, its time to change the focus?

It shouldnt be a university just for black students, she said. But we should be talking about our strengths as a historically black college, not diversity.

The letter below is from my City Council's office in response to the Planet of the Apes incident on Crenshaw.

Mr. Pipkins:

Thank you for your e-mail about, and pictures of, the skid marks on Crenshaw Blvd. between Coliseum Street and 39th Street.

Like you, we are concerned about these skid marks and the reasons why the skid marks are there. And like you, we very much would like to see the businesses on Crenshaw - new and established - to thrive and be part of the revitalization Councilman Wesson envisions for Crenshaw and the other key corridors in the 10th District. That is why we have had discussions with the LAPD to explore options for dealing with this problem before it gets worse in the Summer.

We appreciate your support for the installation of cameras as a solution to this problem. And installation of cameras is one of the options that will be explored. But as with any option, it has its pluses and minuses. We want to make sure that we and the community fully understand what those are. We also want to know what other options there are for addressing the problem, and have an opportunity to vet those options.

In the end, the success of whatever option is taken greatly depends on the support of the members of the community such as yourself.

Once again, thank you for contacting us and sharing your concerns with us. Rest assured we are taking your concerns seriously.

Salvation Army to Install Black Commander

"I'm not here because of my color, and I wouldn't be here if I thought I was," Gaither said in an Associated Press interview. "I want to serve all men and women. I am aware I can serve as a model to African-Americans, as well as to whites and Hispanics."

Ephren Taylor Becomes America's Youngest African American CEO of a Publicly-Owned Company

"Instead of telling a city what we want to build and what kinds of incentives we expect, we ask them to tell us their long-range goals, for revitalization and community-building. Then we partner with them -- utilizing every available incentive to literally create our own market."

Do moms make better managers?

A lot of black women have "booty do" which is a condition where they stomach stick out more than booty do.

EDUCATION

No States Meet Teacher Quality Goal

The 4-year-old No Child Left Behind law says teachers must have a bachelor's degree, a state license and proven competency in every subject they teach by this year. The first federal order of its kind, it applies to teachers of math, history and any other core class.

Young Love, Old Divisions

An African American boy and a Latina, both 14, are unwavering sweethearts at Jefferson High, where racial strife is a fact of life.

The couple knows students watch them too. One morning, Lionel walked toward a group of black students. A girl looked him up and down in disgust. He heard her say: "Oh, that's that boy that goes with that Mexican girl."

"If somebody like me got into government, I would change things," Lionel said. "People say they care. If they really did, they would make more effort to really help us out.. We got drug dealers, gang bangers. They're killing us, Latino people and black people."

IMMIGRATION

Bush to Unveil Plan to Tighten Border Controls

People who support tighter border are bigots. Why do we need a tighter border and why is the concentration to the South. It's racist. Would we be acting like this if white people were crossing the border? People are coming to this country for a better life just like the droves of Europeans did back in the day, but now that non-whites are immigrating we have to have border patrol. We must fight these people, Si Se Puede!

Companies buck the outsourcing trend

"Our labor costs are 10 to 12 times higher," says President and Chief Operating Officer Jim Tompkins. "But productivity at New Balance's five U.S. plants is much greater, lowering other costs. We're able to deliver into the market in a matter of days, where our competitors are looking at a matter of weeks and sometimes months."

Black TV shows on shaky ground

"For the black audience, something will be missing with the cancellation of such shows," said Donald Bogle, a New York University professor and author of Primetime Blues: African Americans on Network Television.

"Even with the distortion in some of these sitcoms, audiences could still go and see some semblance of an African-American community, as well as African-American cultural references. And that would be terrible if it just goes away."

May 10, 2006

Two weeks ago I drove down the street to wash and gas up my car and I see all these skid marks all over the street. So I'm like WTF? So I call the police and ask what the hell in going on that a bunch of A-holes can put donuts all over a big street like Crenshaw. I was told over the phone that they are doing all they can, but it's obvious that it is not working.

Another officer tried to tell me that its the teenage mommas that are the blame for this type of lawlessness. I told them that the police need to put fear in the hearts of these thugs by giving them the death penalty for this type of foolishness. And we are about to get a new Starbucks but you can't enjoy it with thugs messing up everything.

Well I decided to craft a letter to the LAPD captain in my area with the pictures below and underneath the pictures is the response I received.

Mr. Pipkins,

Thank you for taking the time to express your concern regarding the cruiser activity on Crenshaw. We are aware of the problems and have taken strict enforcement action several times during the past several weeks. Following several shooting incidents and the wreckless display involving cars, that occurs early Sunday morning (around 2:00 AM), I deployed several multi-agency task forces to combat this problem. We saw success following each operation, but it is still work in progress. We are committed to eradicating this activity and supporting both the community residents and businesses in the area. Again thank you for sharing your concern.

Sincerely,

Captain James Craig

Immigration

Working in the shadows

"We told [the manager] that our Social Security numbers were not good, and we could not go to Social Security" to change them, she said, adding, "He already knew."

Black leaders promote dialogue

"There is enough wealth in this community for us all to be employed at a livable wage," he said. "We exploit these people by making them work at a sub-human wage and then throwing them away when we're done with them like tissue paper."

Is the Melting Pot Boiling Over

"A lot of visa programs are for high tech or professional workers, not basic laborers. We fully support fixing the guest worker program. We have to do something realistic with the 12 million illegal immigrants who are already here. We can't put them on a bus and send them away. We need to create a plan to make sure folks can pay taxes and contribute to society."

Immigrant rally ruffles U.S. blacks

"I think what they were able to do, the level of organization they were able to pull off, that was phenomenal," Laster said. "But I do think their struggle is, in fundamental ways, very different from ours. We didn't choose to come here; we came here as slaves. And we were denied, even though we were legal citizens, our basic rights."

Immigrants draw multi-ethnic support

"[This march] is in the tradition of Dr. [Martin Luther] King," Ali said." The guest worker program is a program that does not take away jobs from black people," he said. "The jobs that [illegal immigrants] are doing such as picking grapes, [blacks are] not going to do anyway. And the wages will be driven up if there is a legal way for them to work. Hopefully, the Latinos will know that the blacks leaders are supporting their cause and they will join our causes in the future. "

A Day Without White People

"Bush messed up by making a war for oil," added Frank, a fellow Ecuadoran and former U.S. Army specialist from Washington Heights, who also declined to give his last name. "Now he's pointing at the Mexicans and Latinos and making people believe that we're the problem with the economy. But we are just the scapegoat." "We are the new black men of America," Frank charged.

Minutemen Get Cold Reception From Blacks

"The same system that wants to criminalize immigration is the same system that disproportionately imprisons black men," yelled Monica Morant, a Los Angeles area resident who decided to protest the event after hearing about it on the radio.

Blacks split on support for illegal immigrants

"Let me tell you what the mind-set of the African-American is when they see those marches: `They are here to replace us,'" Daniels said. "We've got to be careful because I don't want to see an eruption between the blacks and the browns over the immigration issue."

Growing Unease for Some Blacks on Immigration

"I think what they were able to do, the level of organization they were able to pull off, that was phenomenal," said Mr. Laster, who is also a part-time sociology professor at a community college in Baltimore. "But I do think their struggle is, in fundamental ways, very different from ours. We didn't chose to come here; we came here as slaves. And we were denied, even though we were legal citizens, our basic rights."

Activists draw battle line over immigration

Hayes has called illegal immigration the "biggest threat to blacks in America since slavery."

Immigrants Take to U.S. Streets in Show of Strength

"When the rule of law is dictated by a mob of illegal aliens taking to the streets, especially under a foreign flag, then that means the nation is not governed by a rule of law - it is a mobocracy," Jim Gilchrist, a founder of the Minutemen Project, a volunteer group that patrols the United States-Mexico border, said in an interview.

Black Activists Say Immigration Shortcuts Not a Civil Right Issue

"The civil rights movement was about some American citizens being treated worse than others. The rallies happening now are about lawbreaking non-citizens wanting to be given the same rights and benefits of those who came to America through the proper immigration channels."

Uniting African-American and Latino communities

Both communities have in common high poverty rates, high drop-out rates from public schools, youth becoming gang affiliates and astronomical unemployment rates. These negative indicators must change if both communities are to improve their standards of living.

Immigration's Impact On Wages A Big Debate Among Economists

"They were driving 100 miles a day for $10 an hour and were tickled to death to even have a job," said Swope, who runs Complete Employment Services in Mobile, Ala. But after a couple of weeks, the workers were back at Swope's office saying they'd been let go because "the Mexicans have arrived."

Governor - LA Mayor, Others Received Threats

"We got one postcard from Pasadena that said words to the effect, 'All you dirty Mexicans should go back to Mexico. The only good Mexican is a dead Mexican,'" Green said.

National Boycott Plans Creating a New Divide

"After so many years of working so hard, people feel they don't have voice," said Carlos Rojas, the firm's political analyst. "They see it as a way of showing the rest of society the power and dignity of the Latinos."

'Runaway Bride' tag still sticks a year later

"Everywhere she goes, she will be remembered for that stunt," the mayor said.

Do you remember she was supposed to have been kidnapped by some Mexicans? How crazy is this lady...

African America

Historic black leader's cause of death found

The records cleared one nagging question that was raised by the ambiguous term: whether Washington died of syphilis. The sexually transmitted disease was widespread at the time and thought to be a particular problem among blacks, said Dr. Philip Mackowiak, the organizer and creator of the conference.

Culture Briefs

"My enemies say my career would have gone nowhere without affirmative action. I don't think that's true, but because there is affirmative action, they can say that. There are no blacks who are free from that stigma, and that's a terrible thing to do to people who are trying to succeed on their own.

Slaves, Pursuing Liberty, Looked to a King

In "Rough Crossings," the British historian Simon Schama offers an impassioned account of the war waged by black Americans against their former masters, and, in the aftermath of defeat, their long struggle to obtain justice from the British, who had promised liberty and land.

Beating the odds

Aforthcoming study brings welcome good news in education, ranking Baltimore County as the best large school district in the nation in getting African-American males successfully through high school.

People for the Exploitation of Terrorized African-Americans

One student who was upset by PETA's comparison of slavery to animal mistreatment shouted amid tears, "I'm not trying to say that people should eat meat. I understand you, but the way you're depicting our history, the way you are depicting the things that happened to us, the thing that happened to our ancestors, it's not ok, it's not ok!"

Freedom and glory: The diary of an ex-slave

''The diary has taught me that I really got a lucky chance in life," he said. ''He was able to persevere under the most adverse circumstances.

In Mississippi, Push to Save Emmet Till Landmark

The store in the Mississippi Delta is where black teenager Emmett Till is said to have wolf-whistled at white shopkeeper Carolyn Bryant in August 1955. The 14-year-old was kidnapped, tortured and killed a few days later in a crime that helped set the civil rights movement in motion.

Southern Discomfort (Duke Scandal)

If there's any doubt, remember the eyewitness account of Jason Bissey who lives next door to the house where the Duke party occurred: "One guy yelled at her, '... Thank your grandpa for my cotton shirt'" - a cleverly subtle racist jab from one of America's best-educated college students.

Black Americans quiet on Darfur crisis

Mr. Okema said he would not call it "neglect," but said Darfur involvement gets pushed to the side because black leaders are "preoccupied with trying to put these things right in this country."

The Bias Finders

For example, more than three-quarters of white and Asian test takers in the United States display an unconscious tendency to value white people over black people. Roughly half of black test takers show a pro-white bias as well. Many people who complete the IAT exhibit implicit inclinations for young versus old people and unconsciously favor men over women.

Economic

African American Teen Unemployment More Than Six Times the National Rate

While 138,000 new jobs were created in April and overall unemployment remains steady at 4.7%, the unemployment rate among African American teens remains shockingly high at 29.5%, according to the Labor Department's April jobs report.

Black Joblessness much more than a Skin-deep Issue

"Race differences and class differentials have been ground together in this country in a crucible of misery and squalor in such a way that few of us know where one stops and the other begins," says Henry Louis Gates Jr.

"We need an economic Marshall Plan for the inner city."

- William Julius Wilson, Professor of Afro-American Studies at Harvard University

Black Males Locked Out of Jobs

"A felony conviction confers roughly the same penalty to job applicants as does minority status," wrote Pager and Western in Discrimination in Low-Wage Labor Markets.

Working Hard for the Money

Black women with bachelor's degrees are edging out white and Hispanic women with the same education level in the earnings race. Economists say this may be a result of black women clocking more hours or juggling more than one job.

The Business of Faith

For a growing number of modern-day clergy, preaching from the pulpit is only half of the job. A rising number of profitably managed black megachurches are turning pastors into high-profile CEOs of multimillion-dollar enterprises.

New owner to reshape black-owned Metro Bank

The ink is dry on Bob Johnson's buyout of tiny Metro Bank in Orlando, and the billionaire entrepreneur is ready to put his fingerprint on the historically African-American-owned thrift.

Johnson sold BET in 2000 for $3 billion, making him the nation's first black billionaire. He also became the first African-American to own an NBA team -- the Charlotte Bobcats -- in 2003.

Education

Race, rape and reality intersect

During slavery, white male privilege defined itself, at least on one level, through sexual access to the slave women and offered persistent examples of what eventually became known as sexual harassment on the job. So our first response could be, "How dare those white guys abuse a black woman like that!"

Dad - Broomstick used on dancer (Duke University)

The father said he learned about the broom from others, "and then she told me afterwards because she didn't want me to know that part," he said.

Law school verdict's still out: Race vs. ranking

The USA "is becoming more diverse, but the profession that broke down barriers (through landmark cases) is the least diverse" among major fields, says Leonard Baynes, a St. John's University law professor and editor of the Law Review. When blacks are largely absent from the ranks of legal counsel and judicial authority, he says, "it looks like a very unfair system."

Some educators say don't take kids to work

"Certainly, there is some value to experiencing what your parents do at work and what their occupation or vocation is," said spokeswoman Meta Minton. "But it would seem that being in school ought to take precedence."

African American families flow in, bringing adjustments for schools and the new students

Moriah said moving from a predominantly black school to one where fewer students look like them can be overwhelming for both students and parents.

"Standards at schools differ, so when you come in, you have to figure out how to bridge that gap," he said. "You are one of 50 black students in the school and you are behind. That's pressure."

Community

Black-on-black crime taking toll on communities

The statistics don't lie, and the statistics say that black-on-black crime is becoming an epidemic in this country, and the old habit of blaming the "white man" for what ails the black community is becoming just that -- old.

Black churches follow faithful into suburbia

"I really see a need for African-American churches in the area. You want a church connection that you can identify with."

First comes baby, then comes marriage

In fact, children without married parents have become so common in black communities that the term "baby daddy," an unwed father usually stereotyped as a ghetto caricature, has gone mainstream.

'Marriage Is for White People'

Having enjoyed a close relationship with my own father, I made a conscious decision that I wanted a husband, not a live-in boyfriend and not a "baby's daddy," when it came my time to mate and marry. My time never came. For years, I wondered why not. And then some 12-year-olds enlightened me. "Marriage is for white people."

Suit Turns Voting Rights Act on Its Head

Brown, head of the Democratic Party in Mississippi's rural Noxubee County, is accused of waging a campaign to defeat white voters and candidates with tactics including intimidation and coercion. Also named in the lawsuit is Circuit Clerk Carl Mickens, who has agreed to refrain from rejecting white voters' absentee ballots considered defective while accepting similar ballots from black voters.

"This case is real simple," Brown says, stretching back in a maroon chair during an interview in Mickens' office, where voter-registration records are kept. "Find me one white person that was discriminated against."

GOP diversity aims at a crucial Democratic bloc

Bunch of sell outs! As Black Americans we should rally behind the black panther party. The dems aren't strong enough to push our agenda and the GOP is not for middle class America so we gotta go our own way.

American Red Cross, NAACP and Faith-Based Groups Partner to Provide Disaster Training Nationwide

"The NAACP looked at this opportunity as a way to close a gap for the Red Cross, and for us," said Rev. Nelson B. Rivers III, NAACP Chief Operating Officer. "Because of our common interest in doing good and making a difference, it's important that we work together, and this is way for us to assist and to make sure we are prepared for the next wave of storms, particularly hurricanes."

Entertainment

HBO wary of Dutton's miniseries project

In his miniseries saga, the separatists are "given a really sweet deal, a multibillion-dollar reparations package on one condition. They have to take in all the black malcontents in this country, those living below the poverty line, those in prison. The theme of the miniseries is, if given so-called independence with no white man to blame, depend on, etc., will people of color do anything differently from white people? The answer is a resounding no."

We believe that our participation in this Consortium will increase the diverse pool of Americans that have the option to develop their professional careers in our industry."

A New Cultural Diet Helps to Fight the Obesity Epidemic for African Americans

Bailey offers a new "cultural" diet for African Americans and a way to work together collectively to not only understand this critical health issue but also to establish a lifestyle strategy that will be both effective and manageable.

Blacks generally eat foods high in salt and fat but some of us are eating better by abstaining from pork especially. Like some soul food resturants don't serve pork in their dishes to protect the health of their clientel and the food still taste fantastic.

Blacks mistrust health care system - study

"The interpersonal relationship between patients and health care providers is a critical component of patient trust," Hughes Halbert and colleagues wrote.

When you give a group people syphilis as an experiment to find out the long term effects it kinda breaks down trust.

Technology

Desktop Sidebar

I have hated MS Windows for so long because it never does anything conveniently. But Desktop Sidebar makes everything so awesome because it places everything at your fingertips: your task by deadline; quicklaucher; media player, and some other nifty tools. DO NOT use the Google Desktop it is nothing close to the Desktop Sidebar.
