Make the connection

I dedicate this to Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. for whom my street is named. Documented here is the neighborhood of Damian B Pipkins on Sunday, March 10, 2002. This page will bring to the attention of everyone the naked truth about the hood. Why are businesses reluctant to move into the hood? Why are people trying to move out? Is the hood really that bad? I will attempt to answer all of these questions. My hope is that you will come to your own conclusions on that matter. I can only present the evidence. The decisions you must come to for yourself.

I invite you to take a little walk with me through my neighborhood. I've been to many places and I see and I know the truth. In my opinion the black community has no idea or has grown oblivious to the fact that its neighborhoods are hideously disgraceful to the men and women who have fought both black and white for the freedoms we enjoy today. The black community's actions are inexcusable and need to improve. Black people want to blame everyone else, but who is shooting the guns? People in the hood say the white people are putting the guns and the drugs in our neighborhoods. Well, white people put the books too and black people in my neighborhood aren't rushing to pick those up. If you do not believe me take a look for yourself.
